ABOUT ME
I love woodwork. Really, it is my passion. Growing up in a family with a second generation joinery business, I was surrounded by the creative possibilities of crafting items from timber.
So back in 2013 I quit my engineering job and started tinkermade with the garage as the workshop. My aim is to fuse traditional woodwork craftsmanship and modern design and techniques to create unique items which complement today's living spaces.
I am always looking for a new angle on a familiar product, something that has not been done before. It could be the way a box opens or a particular way a joint is constructed.
Dieter Rams is my greatest design inspiration, and his Less but Better design philosophy is at the heart of all my work. I enjoy books on architecture and typography and, naturally, furniture and general product design.
